Kathy Stoops has been on a transformational journey of discovering her true identity in Christ, learning how God’s Word impacts her everyday life, and figuring out how to recall these truths anytime, anywhere. In this episode you’ll learn about: discovering your true identity in Christ (and what it’s really all about), how small action steps can help build your confidence, and cultivating an awareness of God’s presence in your everyday life.
257 || How to Thrive in the Refining Fire of Bringing Your Dream into the Public Eye || Ainsley Britain
Have you been keeping your dream to yourself? Making your work public is an act of vulnerability. Writers, artists, and dreamers know what it feels like to share something beyond a small, trusted circle and afterwards experience a vulnerability hangover. In this episode, Ainsley Britain shares one painful but a necessary part of making your dream more public, how to work from overflow rather than exhaustion, and practical tips on planning your days to reach writing milestones even with a baby at home.
214 || Your Imposter Syndrome Breakthrough May be Just Around the Corner || Kelsey Joy Rinker
Is fear of failure standing in the way of your freedom to pursue a dream? Does it feel like everyone else has a bigger following and is further along than you? If you’ve struggled with doubt, fear, comparison, or imposter syndrome and those bullies are keeping you from your God-shaped dream, I want you to hear in this episode that it IS possible to find freedom. In fact, your struggles may be an indicator that breakthrough is just around the corner.
205 || How We Partner With God to Fulfill His Purposes in the World || Julie Holmquist
Are you ever tempted to seek validation or affirmation from others? Julie Holmquist thought that she had rooted her identity deeply in Christ, but as soon as she started taking scary steps of faith toward a dream, she realized that she was looking to other people to give her what only He could. And that turned out to be a distraction from the true purpose He had put in her heart.
152 || What Happens When You Let God Define Your Worth || Courtney Reimer
Courtney Reimer is on a mission to not only help girls and women know and understand their worth but also to know why they have worth. This interview is a reminder that where we place our hope matters. As Christians we’ve likely heard or been part of conversations about our identity in Christ but living that out feels so complex. How do we place our identity in Him? What does that look like? How do we know if we’re even getting it right?
126 || How to Refocus Your Identity on Christ || Merritt Onsa
We’ve been talking about fear and what it says about our identity or, rather, how we’re placing our identity on something besides Jesus when we allow fear to stand in the way of what God created us to do with our lives.
IF YOU HAVE PLACED YOUR IDENTITY IN SOMETHING BESIDES JESUS, THIS WAS THE EPISODE FOR YOU.
This solo episode falls in line behind #122 and provides some next steps about what to do once you realize that you have, in fact, trusted in something beside the Lord to give you hope, wholeness, satisfaction or purpose.
There are three simple (I didn’t say easy) steps you can take to move past your fears and on to the dream God has placed on your heart. Listen to this quick solo episode to learn what they are and then join us in the Facebook Group to share how you’re moving forward despite the fear.
There are a few episodes I mention in this episode that you’ll want to go back to, if you haven’t heard them already.

122 || Obstacles to Finding Your Identity in Christ || Merritt Onsa
Our fears provide clues to understanding where we may have placed our identity in something besides Jesus. In this episode, you’ll discover the value of acknowledging what drives your fears. But you will need to tune in to next month’s solo episode to learn what you can do about it. In the meantime, I am challenging you to really look at what you’re holding tight to and what, if you lost it, would crush you, because that’s where you’ll begin to see that you have misplaced your identity.
