Suffering

268 || How Weakness Will Show Us the Way Back to Ourselves || Kimberly Phinney

What happens when your dream is sidelined by the realities of life in a broken world? Kimberly Phinney had a vision for her future as a writer with big hopes, dreams, and ideas she wanted to share with the world. Even as a child she had a sense that this would be her path. When her health took a turn for the worse, it seemed all of her dreams might be lost. In this episode, you’ll learn Kimberly’s 3-step process for staying true to the dreams God has given you (her students rave about this year after year!), what God has taught her in her brokenness (and the breakthrough that awaits in such seasons), and about letting go of anything that’s going to detract from God’s vision for you.

218 || What if God Writes an Unexpected Dream on Your Heart? || Cindy DeBoer

Do you ever wonder if your God-shaped dream might be something He hasn’t yet revealed to you, or questioned why you feel blocked from God’s purpose for your life? Cindy DeBoer and her husband were 12 years into marriage when God put it on their hearts to examine if they were living out the faith they professed. What followed was a season of confession, questions, and a re-making of the life they thought they were called to.

093 || Because God is Sovereign Even in Your Suffering || Crystal Miller

In this episode, you’ll hear Columbine survivor, Crystal Woodman Miller, talk about how God uses our stories –- no matter how dark and hopeless -- to make an impact for His Kingdom. You’ll learn how the enemy of our souls feeds us lies that trick us into insecurity, comparison, and fear to keep us from making that Kingdom impact.  If you’re suffering or grieving or struggling to find hope in a broken world, I pray this interview gives you hope that God is with you in the midst of it all.
