In this, my first full episode of Season Two, I’m introducing you to Angie Weszely, a speaker, writer, strategist and dreamer. Angie is a visionary passionate about re-framing the Christian response to abortion and unplanned pregnancy. She’s the co-founder and CEO of ProGrace, a start-up non-profit organization, that equips Christians to shift the way we talk about abortion, the way we think about it, and the way we reach out to women facing unplanned pregnancy. Angie lives with her family in Colorado.
IF YOU HAVE EVER FELT LIKE YOUR DREAMS WERE DEAD OR STALLED OUT, THIS IS THE EPISODE FOR YOU.
Angie and I begin our conversation with how she came to launch and lead the ProGrace ministry and the path she took to get there. She talks about the ten years that passed in which she believed her dream to work in ministry was dead and how God surprised her as He resurrected it in ways she didn’t expect. Angie gives us some helpful tips on how to re-frame our perspective on the abortion conversation moving it away from the political and toward the personal—focusing on God’s design for pregnancy and the radical love He has for both the woman and the child.
As you listen to all that she’s learned in preparing to lead ProGrace, I hope you hear her great dependence on Christ and how He sees her. She provides some excellent tools we can use, no matter our dream, to keep our eyes on Christ and our identity in Him, regardless of the challenges that come our way.
