A graphic designer and a mother of four, Kathy’s life took an unexpected turn while she was volunteering at a local soup kitchen. A surprising encounter with Denver Moore, co-author of the book Same Kind of Different as Me, sparked a journey that would require her to surrender in ways she never imagined.
Despite having no background in fundraising, construction, or development, Kathy felt a profound sense of purpose that compelled her to leave her full-time graphic design job and dedicate herself to helping bring transformation in homelessness, housing and mental health in Charlotte, North Carolina.
